Dear AORC and IGSRV Member,  

The world's cloistered existence due to COVID-19 has not stopped our momentum in preparing for our reunion at the next ICRAV. Hong Kong, with relaxed travel controls, is ready to welcome visitors back. Quarantine is no longer required for inbound travellers. The Organising Committee is most pleased to announce that the 23^rd International Conference of Racing Analysts & Veterinarians will be held from 17 to 23 September 2023 in Hong Kong at the Kerry Hotel - the conference and official accommodation venue overlooking the bustling Victoria Harbour and scenic Hong Kong Island. We warmly invite you to attend the 23^rd ICRAV to reunite with fellow colleagues and friends after the last ICRAV in Dubai.

The conference theme is Sustaining the Integrity of Racing, with joint sessions featuring gene doping detection and OMICS; the legal minefield, which will address issues of defending drug cases in court; pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of medications and doping agents; sustainability of racing integrity; as well as the continuous professional development of regulatory veterinarians and racing analysts.

The 23^rd ICRAV Organising Committee is also pleased to host separate pre-ICRAV analytical and veterinary workshops on 15 & 16 September 2023 conducted by renowned experts. The analyst workshops will cover OMICS Data Mining and Method Validation; and the first ever veterinarian workshop will cover Pre-Race Lameness Assessment. Details on the workshops and registration procedures will be provided in early January 2023.

There will also be six Young Scientist Awards (YSAs) of US$2,000 each as well as, for the first time in ICRAV, six Travel Grants(TGs) of US$2,000 each to support the attendance of young members of AORC or IGSRV.

The conference website https://www.icrav2023.com/ will be launched in January. Delegates can then register (with Early-Bird discount), submit abstracts and apply for YSA/TG opportunities.
